Erasmus+ Internship
An Erasmus+ internship is a placement abroad for two months in the summer (July-August).
Internships completed after 1 or 2 study years can only be voluntary; an internship completed after the 3rd study year can be either voluntary or counted instead of the compulsory 4th year professional internship at the University.
Erasmus+ Voluntary internship
If a student wants to complete a voluntary Erasmus+ internship, before going on an internship, the student must submit an application form in the system. Along with the application, the student must add a signed company's Letter of Acceptance.
Before leaving, you will need to:
Fill in the Learning Agreement for Traineeship form;
Fill in the Erasmus+ traineeship mobility grant form (Note: it will be filled in by the institutional international traineeship coordinator).
The placement is not credited, but the information about it is entered in the Diploma Supplement as a placement abroad.
The student completes the Erasmus+ placement report online.
Erasmus+ Internship instead of professional internship at the study programme
The Erasmus+ internship after the 3rd year for two months in the summer (July-August) can be voluntary, or it can be counted as a compulsory 4th-year professional internship at the University. The student first gets to know the requirements of the relevant professional internship in their study programme at the Faculty of Philology, and then agrees with the internship supervisor at the faculty on the activities, nature and tasks of the Erasmus+ internship as well as the reporting requirements and deadlines.
Once this has been done, the student submits the Letter of Acceptance signed by the company and the Erasmus+ placement application form to the internship supervisor at the faculty. The application form needs to be signed by the student, the internship supervisor at VU and the head of the study programme committee.
The Letter of Acceptance from the company and the Erasmus+ Traineeship application signed by the above-mentioned persons are submitted by the student to the Studies Coordinator of the Faculty Viktorija Zujūtė.
Students also need to submit application in the system.
The faculty coordinator evaluates the documents and makes a decision on the award of the Erasmus+ grant and forwards the documents to the institutional Erasmus+ Coordinator, who prepares the traineeship in a foreign company and the grant agreements.
In the internship agreement, the student indicates that the internship will be credited.
After completing the internship, the company completes a Feedback on the Trainee's Performance form for the trainee and evaluates their performance with a grade (1-10). The student submits the feedback to the internship supervisor at the faculty, and in the 8th semester of year 4 attends the internship seminars at the Faculty. The evaluation for the seminars and the practical internship are included in the internship's cumulative grade.
The supervisor of the internship in the 8th semester enters the final assessment of the internship in VUSIS with a grade.
The student completes the Erasmus+ placement report online.
